If you're looking to learn, it's a pretty solid synth to start on, but to me, only if you can score a deal on it (less than $300). I literally considered keeping it as a MIDI controller because of the Arpeggio. The 64 option arpeggiator is a sleeper function. The three oscillators are pretty unique in that you can really build some deep stuff I've since moved on from it, and was able to recoup my money for it and have never looked back. I wanted a synth, I hit craigslist, someone was selling one for $350, it was a Roland Gaia, and the reviews were solid enough out there. The Gaia was my entry into modern synths.
